In fact, if staying in the rooms and suites of this historic hotel is a journey through time, tasting the tasty traditional dishes will complete your the knowledge of the local culture: seupetta, Arnad lard, polenta concia, la favò, fondue, Crema di Cogne with green beans, la coppa dell’ amiciza (the friendship cup)… Every meal will be a delicious discovery.
Our itinerary of flavours
In the panoramic restaurant of our partner hotel Sant’Orso, you can delight in Chef Claudio and his team’s specialities for both lunch and dinner. From appetizers to desserts, the menu features the best locally sourced ingredients, enhancing them in refined dishes. It also offers a delicious kids’ menu.
At the Terrace of the Hotel Sant’Orso you can eat lunch alfresco, admiring the flowering meadows and the mountains of the National Park. Between 12:15 and 1:30 pm, order our favourite dish from the menu and let swept up by the views. Even your four-legged friends can accompany you here and quench their thirst with the fresh water of Gran Paradiso.
La Cave de Cogne is a tavern and wine cellar - or cantinna, as we would say in dialect - in a central position and with a quiet internal terrace overlooking the church. Here you can have both lunch and dinner, as well as taste good wine accompanied by plates of local cold cuts and cheeses at aperitif time. On colder days, warm up with our mulled wine. You can also buy typical products and the finest local and international wines.
